We will serve now from a distance! If someone has build up resistance against the utmost – it’s us!
Its extra tough times for hotels and restaurants under lock down. Especially hospitality being closed first, opened last and with tremendous restrictions not every other work force would be able to recover. We will. We will have to count heavy casualties again but as in many crisis before we get out stronger , mourn and never forget the lost ones but move forward.
Half taxes, more taxes, no taxes – we will survive
We will get up again and face the tax department that tried to kill us so many times and was hoping to had us done now. A temporary tax deduction like introduced in Germany right now is no help. No revenue – no taxes. Once open we have to keep the tables apart loosing half the space at least. Half space – half revenue! Half taxes do not help.
Big Chain – big advantages – we had that before
We will survive this too. We will have disappointed the big chains like Starbucks, MacDonald’s who’s lobbyist take care of our politicians to give tax free and other advantages that should have killed us before. Sorry we are still here. Garbage rots away that’s why our quality survives and what you serve hopefully speeds up your own fermentation process. We are ready to take bookings for your funeral party. Just better quality!
Insurance for nothing
We might cancel now our insurance that we paid for “lost business” but didn’t pay a penny because Corona was not specifically mentioned as a cause of lost business. Thanks – we trusted you! And paid!
Before the crisis we didn’t trust the tax department, the banks, the insurances, the politicians and the state. The labour laws were amended so often until we reached a low cost – non essential – just surviving staff level ! The crisis showed that we were absolutely right. You left us alone without a second thought. Reality shows we are still here. We will be here in the future. Thanks to us we survived even this insult. Thanks for opening our eyes more. We will face the challenges again and build up a stronger immunity against all the artificial created obstacles by governments and institutions that have always effected us more then any virus every could.
We are creative, innovative, smart and cant be killed by simple neglect and carelessness from the once that we served and paid and that actually are supposed to take care of all citizens. Us included.
We will be back with passion
Hospitality is a passion. And as passion is a word unknown to institutions – even explained – won’t be understood by governments, banks and insurances. It seems we don’t understand each other. We will continue to enjoy being hospitable and pass on passion.
