Constant top quality: Antonius - Borovischi, Novgorod region

Borovichi is always worth a trip with forests, lakes and many sights. Five hours by car from Moscow (thanks to the new roads) or 4 hours from St. Petersburg, it is also easy to get to by Sapsan (express train 2 hours from Moscow - 1 hour from St. Petersburg). The times of pothole slalom are almost a thing of the past in this area.

Antonius as a restaurant was opened years ago and has not only offered top service and cuisine all these years, but - most importantly - maintained and even raised the quality.

The restaurant on the ground floor always needs a reservation in winter and in summer you can usually only get a table on the beautiful terrace, if you are lucky or just make a reservation.

The nice thing is that the service is getting better and better. Not only are the young people who work hard there always friendly, but they are also well trained. They know the menu and drinks and a recommendation is always given. Attentive to children and always ready to help, they have the patience of angels when the undecided guest can’t decide, but they are immediately quick and efficient in service again.

"Most" is the restaurant on the upper floor where high service and a more exquisite menu is offered. Here, too, the service and kitchens leave nothing to be desired. The atmosphere in this old merchant's house is wonderful with large windows, lots of light and wonderfully tastefully decorated by the owners. That was certainly not cheap but was worth it even just to sit there.

A perfect place for celebrations and banquets that can also take place in the extended garden in summer.

I can only recommend it and after all these years of top performance you will certainly not be disappointed.
